Secret 7” takes seven tracks from some of the world’s best-known musicians, with every song being pressed just 100 times onto seven-inch vinyl, creating 700 limited-edition 7” records. Artists, designers, illustrators and creatives from around the world then create a completely original sleeve inspired by a track of their choice, turning each vinyl into a one-of-a-kind collectible. Previous editions have included sleeves by some of our greatest living artists and designers, including Ai Weiwei, Yoko Ono, Anish Kapoor, and Es Devlin.
Visual artists can submit designs for sleeves now via the Secret 7” website HERE. Artworks can be anything artists want, as long as the design is inspired by their interpretation of their chosen song. In the past, submissions have followed traditional mediums, as well as thinking beyond what a traditional vinyl cover would be, with some submissions even being made from metal and concrete! Submissions close on the 1st June, 2026 at 11:59PM.
All 700 record sleeve designs will be exhibited at 180 Studios, London from 18th August to 30th August, 2026, and will be available to purchase via an online auction from 18th August to 2nd September, 2026. The artists' identities and the track inside remain a mystery until the record is in the hands of the buyer. It’s anonymous by design and fans bid for the record sleeve they love, not the name behind it, with the track and visual artist behind the sleeves revealed once the auction ends. Bidders could take home a unique collector’s item from a superstar musician, paired with a legendary artist’s design, or discover a brilliant emerging talent before they make it big.
