War is not a childhood: tell the UK Government 100 million children need you to end this conflict, before it's too late
The world is watching as a catastrophic conflict unfolds in the Middle East. Children don't start wars, but they will suffer the most. We are calling on the UK government to:
- Do everything in its power to de-escalate this conflict - De-escalation and no active participation by the UK, is crucial to ensure children’s futures.
- Insist that international humanitarian law is upheld to keep innocent children safe –there is a dangerous disregard for the laws of war in this conflict; with schools, hospitals and playgrounds targeted and destroyed. Children’s lives should never be collateral in war.
- Demand that essential aid reaches Gaza, without restriction – People in Gaza, who are already struggling to survive, must receive food, water, fuel and medicine.
Join us in calling on the UK Government to do everything they can to end this conflict and protect 100 million children.

War is not a childhood: 100 million children need you to end this conflict, before it's too late
Dear Prime Minister,
The world is watching as a catastrophic conflict unfolds in the Middle East. A conflict which is turning the lives of 100 million children upside down. They don’t start wars, but it is children who will suffer most – it is their lives that will be shattered.
Little bodies are far more vulnerable to devastating blast injuries than adults. The psychological trauma they experience stunts early development and lasts a lifetime. They lose their education, and with it, their prospect of a stable future. This is why we must put children firmly at the centre of our efforts in this conflict, and do everything in our power to end it – for them.
The situation is getting more and more critical for children every day. We are urging you to protect them in the following ways:
- Do everything in its power to de-escalate this conflict – the UK Government must have no part in facilitating this conflict. Instead, they must demand a ceasefire, and work to bring about peace for children in the Middle East, and influence other world leaders and governments to do the same. De-escalation and no active participation by the UK, is crucial to ensure children’s futures.
- Insist that international humanitarian law is upheld to keep innocent children safe –there is a dangerous disregard for the laws of war in this conflict; with schools, hospitals and playgrounds targeted and destroyed. 1 in 10 children have already been forced to flee their homes in Lebanon, leaving everything they know behind. Children’s lives should never be collateral in war.
- Demand that essential aid reaches Gaza, without restriction – regardless of what happens next, children should never be denied the basic essentials they need. Aid must consistently reach children and families, without restriction. People in Gaza, who are already struggling to survive, must receive food, water, fuel and medicine.
Peace is the only way forward for children in the Middle East.
Yours sincerely,
