Children don't start wars
But across the Middle East, they are suffering the consequences. For many, war is all they have ever known. Their childhoods have been replaced by sirens, destruction and fear.
In Lebanon, children are surrounded by violence. Families are being forced to flee their homes yet again, desperately searching for safety. For thousands of children who are still recovering from the trauma of recent attacks, this outbreak of fighting and terror will have devastating consequences.
In Gaza and the West Bank, borders have closed once more, cutting off food, water, fuel and medicine from people who are already on the brink of survival.
The violence unfolding before our eyes is completely heartbreaking.
War Child and our local partners are mobilising to reach as many children as possible with protection, mental health first aid and life-saving emergency assistance. But the situation is getting more critical every day, and we can’t do it without you.
Please, donate to War Child today.
*All one-off donations to our Middle East Emergency Appeal will go directly to support our life-saving work – wherever the need is greatest - across Afghanistan, Jordan, Lebanon, occupied Palestinian territories, Syria and Yemen. In the unlikely case that donations exceed the amount needed for the Middle East emergency response, we will direct the funds to another critical emergency response.
Monthly gifts will mean life-saving aid for children living in war zones all around the world, being ready to respond to new and escalating conflicts, and building brighter futures for children long after the cameras have left.
